How do hair extensions affect your own hair? help?

hair? i am debating if you to get hair extensions, i am not sure about the method but its one of the glue ones that have capsules involved? i have read somwhere that after you take them out ur own hair is in a terrible state and u need to cut alot of it off so i was wondering if that true? and if i was to get them down how much extra care would i need to dedicate to them? and would i have to swap my shampo and conditioner?

As someone already said, if your extensions are put in (and taken out) by someone who knows that they're doing, you shouldn't experience any hair loss. The I've only gotten extensions in using bond (glue) and sewn in by some process that didn't involve braiding the hair (I can't remember exactly what the process is called.) The whole point, though, is to make sure you ask quesions of the person that is putting your extensions in. Alot of hair care depends on your hair type and the condition of your scalp.

As far as shampoo and conditioner, I've never changed the ones I use. I always get human hair, though, so I'm not sure of what type of care would be involved using synthetic hair.

I know I've gone on and on, but I hope I've helped you out. God speed on your hair adventure!

They can make your hair thin.

If your extentions are professonaly put in you should have no hair loss. Personaly I dont use the fusion thats the one where they use a glue gun the glue tends to eat the hair out. I like mine sewn in.

Hair extensions do affect your hair especially the glue ones because they thin your hair out and they cause breakage and they can even cause your hair to fall out pro bally. If your going to get hair extensions you should get it braided not glued in but if you decide to get it braided make sure it isn't to tight. Good Luck!
