i recently have had long balamain hair extensions put in im sure the glue is causing my hair to itch . it is also is knotting a lot to even when i have put detangle spray and serum in can any one help ?

I had Balmain %26amp; they were CRAP! I had tons of problems, they were always falling out %26amp; had to be redone, and tangling, and just a lot of trouble. Somehow I managed to make it six months with them. Now I have the Great Lengths %26amp; they're the BEST! I haven't lost one in 6 weeks, and the bonds are much smaller and look more natural %26amp; I can really brush it HARD! (failure to brush it well is what's causing your tangles). I'd keep on your extensionist %26amp; make her earn her $$$ and keep fixing it - when you need a new set - go for Great Lengths

Yes it does damage your hair! I have never had them but my cousin did once and she had pieces of glue stuck in her hair and the $$ stuff they give you to remove them doesn't get anything out!! It can pull out hair that you have. Hers were painful to get out too. I would go have them taken out and get your hair trimmed and then not do it again.

Actually, not so much on natural hair. It damages your scalp more due to some excess glue which comes in contact with your scalp. Well, not much cud be done now. Just gotta trim off the tip of your hair a lil and it'll grow back fine =)

I live in Miami which is one of the biggest cities for hair extensions. I spoke at length with many stylists on Miami Beach about extensions when I was thinking of getting them. Extensions will always damage your hair. Now to minimize damage you should get them when your hair is very healthy and try to keep it that way while the extensions are in. Once you take them out, it's best to get a trim and wait a while before putting them on again. The "safest" would be a sew/weft which is when they sew the weave in on cornrows. I had that done and taken out after a month. It was nice and beautiful and I made sure and got a protein and deep condition treatment afterwards. The others have to deal with glue, heat, strand/strand and will put way more stress on your hair.

A perfect example is Holly from Girls Next Door. If you see her without extensions, her hair is thin and breaking.

I think that the worse thing for your hair is to have the extensions glued in... Also if you keep them in too log that can cause k knotting... next time try getting them sewed in. its much better trust me.

well i glue in extention in my hair, and what i find is that yes it does damage your hair if you take it out by your self. instead of gluing in the extentions sew it in, its much better for your hair. your head is itchy because the extentions are dirty. wash it and then towel dry it, do not use a blow dry , because if u do your extentions will fall out

well they can ruin ur hair and there is nothing u can actually do untill u get them redone but i would keep using the sprays till u have got them done again ok
