Mine does the same thing--it updates on YA, but on my sign in page, it is the old one.

Probably is vain, but there are worse ways to be vain.

That's happened to my avatar, too. I think it's a glitch in Yahoo! It keeps trying to give my avatar a hat it used to wear.
