I am thinking about getting hair extensions & was told they could wreak my hair...Has anyone had

I want hair extensions, but was told by my stylist that some people's hair breaks off from the ones that are braided in. I have hair (my hair isnt thick or coarse) to my shoulders and don't want to wait for it to grow out. I was just wondering if anyone else out there might have had a bad experience with extensions...

It depends on your hair texture. I have really soft hair and it is great for me. The problem is the buildup when I take it out. Do not comb out the buildup! It hurts and breaks off hair. Use Sauve Daily Clarifying, that's what I use and they recommend it online. Also, make sure that they do not braid your hair too tightly, that can damadge your hair, especially on the sides. That means NO african hair braiding salons! If you decide not to go with extensions a cute style is gel twists or two-strand twists, they are both healthy. Two strand twists are more manageable though. Hope I helped! Also, I just found a GREAT site.

one of my good friends put extensions in her hair and she ended up bald on the sides....but i believe that u just need to take care of them while they are in your hair...it also depends on your texture of hair....gud luck!

all depends on what kind of extensions you get....do your research before getting them done....and go to some-one reputable

Since perminent hair extentions are harmful for the hair in some way or another, the best solution for ur request is getting clip-on extensions. It is undoubtedly 100% safer that the perminet extentions that you get in the salons and it could be MUCH cheaper too, and they last for a life-time!!! I really advice you to go with the clip-on extensions gurl ;)

i had mine glued in and it broke off but i don't care i just got it cut and let it grow back...it was about 3in. but i would do it again in a heartbeat

I've heard otherwise concerning hair extentions. I was told that it can grow your hair just don't put in too tight that your scalp screams. Your hair will get a break from the daily combing.
