I have layered black hair with a bit of dark brown streaks, and it just reaches my shoulders. I want to get some hair extensions, probably blonde...would it be weird if I don't buy a set of black hair extensions to blend with the blond?

Well if the blond is bleach blond then yes you would need to definitely by a pair of black extensions. If it's a darker Blond then no you would not need another pair. No, not weird at all, I'm thinking of doing a similar thing, only I don't have black hair...I have brown but I want blonde extensions!
Change is GREAT, it's the only way you'll ever really know what fits your style best! Some people may hate it, some may love it, but who cares? It's all about what YOU like. And, since not alot of people have blonde UNDER layers, you just may start a new trend.
