What's the safest way to remove my glued-in hair extensions?

Definately use the hair glue remover! Forget the conditioner/oil sheen myth. Nothing will release the hair glue better than the hair glue remover. Apply the hair glue remover to the glue/track, but make sure that you use enough to cover it. Wait about 3-5 minutes and when you began to pull the track, it should damn near fall out! After you remove the track, comb the glue out of your hair. Trust me! I've tried the oil sheen/conditoner method, but it didn't remove it like the hair glue remover. Actually, Walmart sells the glue remover that I am speaking of--white and black container. Let me know if it worked for you!

They have glue remover oil and also glue-removing shampoo (you can find it at sally's) and if you can't use that I've heard loosening up the glue with mineral oil works as well. Just try to break down the glue as much as possible so you don't rip your hair out.

Oil them up with either that remover or some baby oil, then slide them out. Really work that oily stuff around on the top of the track so it doesn't take out your real hair.

In the future, try a sew in weave. I know they cost more but they last longer so you come out the same with a less damaging weave.

I had glued in extensions for prom %26amp; took them out at the beginning of the month. I bought some of the super bond remover this time. It was a WASTE of money because it so didn't work. I ended up going back to my hairdresser because I didn't have the time to take them out myself. She sprayed on oil sheen until they loosened up %26amp; she could pull them out. Which was what I had started doing but it was taking too long %26amp; I didn't have a whole lot of oil sheen left. And I think her oil sheen must've been stronger or something because it came out faster than when I was spraying with mine.

Then I washed %26amp; conditioned my hair. And began to comb it out. And then washed again in the back where more glue had been %26amp; was still there. And then combed out my hair the best I could. Don't expect to get all the glue out when washing it. I was combing out glue the next couple of days. Just be patient.
